Day 5 Well virtually all the stuff came today, the flower remedy, the shirt and the diffuser, so started dosing up and adorning shirt (which fits well). Not a single firework all night.

Day 6 Decided to heed Rachels advice and also add the Dorwest herbs to the shopping list. Ordered mine from Amazon and they were cheaper but more importantly, arrived by day 7. Acey not much impressed by having all this stuff shoved down him. He's also taken to laying down in very small spaces. He's seems happier in these places which makes it harder to judge whether or not all the 'remedies' are working or not . I brought his igloo down from upstairs as he likes hiding in there but it was a bit of a waste of time as being in a different place in the house, all the other dogs decided they wanted to go in in it. (They've ignored it in the bedroom for MONTHS.) Had the perm!

Day 7 Fireworks starting to get busier now. No miracle cures with anything so far but Ace's trembling does seem to be less severe.

Day 8I had already for the purpose booked this night and the next one (Nov 5th) off work. I took this one off and it was decided that for bonfire night itself I would go to work and Pete would take all the dogs to his Mums house for the evening which is quite rural and not so hectic firework wise. I observed Ace on the 4th and can't really say theres that much improvement. The herbal & homeopathic rememdies and diffuser I can understand as not realising the need for them I possibly commenced their use far too late. Next year I shall give them to him much earlier. The thundershirt however I did have higher hopes for. I must say it seems well made and he's had it on ever since it arrived. (That may have been a mistake I don't know? Praps by wearing it constantly he may have lost some of the benefit of it?) Anyway, we are up to date now, it's the 6th of November and until I get home from work, I wont know how the evening at Pete's Mums house went. Here in Portsmouth though it was like the blitz most of the night. People were still lighting the blessed things at 11.30! I dare say tonight being a Sunday, they still won't have tired of them

what a pity nothing really seems to have worked - I was hopeful about the thunder shirt and perhaps herbs/homeopathy.....but there's always the perm! I hope that that at least has worked

Well if you can't cure Ace's nervousness you can at least divert him
