I've been using harnesses for both whippets. Trouble is, Princess Ginny is a skilled escapologist. If she doesn't agree with the direction we're going she sort of rears up, shrugs her shoulders and backs out. This habit is rubbing off on our other whippet who copies and heyho, both whippies on the loose. Not much fun when we're on a narrow lane with a vehicle bearing down on us. Forgot to say, this is what upsets her, she objects to stepping on to the verge to allow the vehicle to pass. She will also back out if I stop and chat for too long.
Advice please.

www.ruffwear.com/Web-Master-Harnessi use this harness,as it has a belly strap it's impossible for dogs to back out of,maybe a bit expensive but worth every penny as your whippets can't get out of them.

Martingale collars are very hard for whippets to get out of. Ok its not a harness, but may be worth a try x

Thanks for the info. Will have to bite the bullet and invest in Ruffwear harnesses. They wear martingale collars but Ginny walks better in a harness. I know, I should insist she walks onlead properly.
