Well as it was a 'mini heatwave' over the weekend we packed up the car on Sunday and went for a family day out with the dogs at West Witterings. It was a scorcher of a day, so we were all in and out the sea paddling and plastered in suncream!
I decided to wade up to my waist and thought hey ho give the dogs a swimming lesson and cool them down. (Was cooler at the beach than at home!) As they hadn't swam at all for as long as we'd had them, I kept a lead on them and I held onto them for a bit before letting them swim by themselves, with just me holding onto the lead walking next to them! Sparky's technique leaves something to be desired, she lifts her legs really high and splashes water everywhere. Silly girly!
Holls got the hang of it well, though!
So heres the first video of Sparky swimming!
Then here is the video of Holly swimming:
Thanks for looking, really appreciate your comments!

Hi,
What gorgeous girlies !! Looks like you all had a good day out!!
Do your whippets enjoy swimming? I have one that's always in the pond (only at the edge) and the other won't even get his toes wet and jumps over every puddle!

Thanks, no not really. Sparks hates it, but it was rather hot and they needed to cool down so swimming was the only way. What a mean whippet mummy I am! lol!
