Hi, just a quick note to introduce myself. We are lurcher owners and looking to help and possibly adopt a whippet or whippetx. We've just one dog at the moment, a whippet x who is about 5 yrs old now. He was about a year old when we adopted him as a stray. He's jet black with white feet and a lovely personality. Very gentle and loving, cat and sheep friendly (after a few early setbacks!) and now ready for a pal to play with in our fields. We've been typical terrier/collie folk until now but must admit to losing our hearts to these sighthounds so fingers crossed we'll able to find a friend for Fred soon.

Lovely to hear of a whippet/lurcher convert! They couldn't be more different from collies or terriers (or certainly from the ones I know) and that's why we added our lovely rescue boy to our first whippet - he so needed someone to run and cuddle up with, and it was the best thing we did. Good Luck with your search for a new friend for Fred.
