Hi all, I'm Karla and have been following Scruples on FB for quite sometime now so thought I'd pop over tot he forum and say hi ;D
I'm a huge dog lover and have always had dogs in my life....luckily my husband is just as potty on dogs as me so we currently have 5 fur-babies of our very own
Our first dog together was Vinnie, he came home from the local RSPCA when he was about 8 months - he's now almost 10. He's perfect in everyway and I adore the ground he walks on. I trust him completely with everyone & everything and he makes my heart skip a beat everytime I look at him..
Then there is Dylan who is about 7/8 years old. We rehomed him from the RSPCA too where he had been in kennels for 7 months and not one person even so much as looked at him. His write up was so off-putting that I'm not surprised really - he was meant to be aggressive, not like other dogs, chewed everything, stole everything, had bad SA, not housetrained and didn't like people. Well it was all true.... to a certain extent but all of it was workable and he is now the most loving, funny, gentle, daft & adorable fluff ball.
Next came baby Dexter who we brought home when he was 11 weeks old. He was part of a litter abandoned in Ireland that came over to be rehomed in the UK. We hadn't planned to have a puppy but the little rat bag got under our skin and in Nov 2009 he came home with us. He's now3 years old and he's a bundle of naughtiness that drives us to destraction everyday.. He is however utterly adorable and gets away with murder!!
As a puppy
My handsome beast now...
At the beginning of 2010 Mark decided he would like a greyhound to add to our family so after a month or so searching he found and fell in love with a gorgeous girlie whom we named Shylo. Our princess is our first ever greyhound and I have to say I will never ever be without one in my life now. She is utterly amazing, stunningly beautiful, extremely bossy and rules the roost with the boys but is so so affectionate.... She will be 5 in Jan xx
Shylo's official name is Princess Shylo-Beanie Twiddle-Knickers and she even has her own facebook page
and last but not least is ickle Reginald This cutie-pie came to us in late May 2010 as a foster dog. He was found in a terrible state, so skinny and riddled with mange that he had hardly any hair and it was difficult to tell what he really was. SLR was asked to take him as he was possibly a whippet cross and that's how we came to foster him. As he got better and his character came out we now believe him to be 90% terrier with maybe a smidging of whippet... whatever he is we failed misreably at fostering and adopted him for ourselves. He's so cute, loving, friendly to one and all and has the most bolshy attitute ever and we love him to bits..
This is how he came to us...
and this is my gorgeous munchkin now..
