Hi, I'm new on here although I follow Scruples on FB.My name is Linda I'm married to Dave and work on an Adventure Playground. We have three grown up children a Daughter , and two sons, my Daughter and eldest Son both have a child , Theo age nine and Georgia aged two. Our youngest son is twenty five and still lives at home with his girlfriend. Now to the interesting bit ;D ;D We have five rescue Sighthounds pictured above. From left to right, Suggs Greyhound boy aged seven we adopted him in 2007 from Whitelodge Leicester. He was an incredibly nervous boy and it has taken this last five years to get him to the confident loon he is now.Next is Dilly ( although she was fourth to be adopted) she is a Whippety, ;D Saluki cross we think aged about five.We adopted her in May 2010 after seeing her on WRI forum. She was found locked in a boarded up barn with her three two week old pups. No food or water and she was a bag of bones. Her pups were fat and healthy and are all happily rehomed.Dilly is a sweet , gentle sometimes stubborn girl and is a bit spoilt. When I went to collect her I cried when I saw her in the transporter such a pathetic scared little scrap. Third along is five year old Tia adopted from KGC in Dec 2008 after Molly our oldie adopted form Greyhound Gap died after only 11 months with us. Tia was the naughty one always up to mischief, getting injured, and very independent. Now she is well behaved,(mostly) and the one I take to fund raisers and Meet and Greets as she is so good and actually enjoys them.Next is Flynn our third addition adopted from Greyhound Gap in September 2009 he's Saluki x GSD/Greyhound aged four a lovely, mostly sensible cuddle monster and Tia's best buddy. Last but not least our most recent addition Barty , adopted from Greyhound Gap May 2012 , he's around five years old, and Greyhound /Border Collie/ Bedlington Terrier we think. He is very different to the others who are polite and well behaved. He is gobby, a terrible thief and an out and out nut case but loved lots and underneath it all a very loving , loyal boy. Oh and the Human is me Sorry for such a long post , but I had quite a few to introduce. Oh and I have fallen for an elderly , small cross breed girl (non Sighthound) who isn't having any luck finding a home but my family will disown me if I mentioned rehoming her.
