Hi Sue, I'm not sure about trials, that would depend on the lure driver as he would be doing trials when all workers are having a break, that said, there usually are a few and if so you would be more than welcome to trial you dog(s). "Wow people are coming from all over the place, Andover isnt going to know whats hit it!" Hope we can get them all on the field

Just wondering if someone could explain the basics, as I've never been racing. I've been to the BSFA Lurecoursing a few times though. Sparky isnt bothered at all by chasing carrier bags, but Holly is NUTS! She is KC reg and 8 years young

Hiya, is it ok to bring a dog if you are not racing? One of my girls are too young, one would race all the way to Scotland and not come back (guess who has just hit the teenage stage and forgotten all her past and current training ) and one is a cavalier king Charles.... I would love to bring my family to watch though, and meet everyone else at scruples.

OMG Amy , best answer to that would surley be " come and have a look", there will be loads of racers to answer any questions you have . Sue, of course you can bring non racing dogs, please make sure they are on a lead at all times though.......you'd be suprised how many would take off to join a race when they see the racers Thank you all for your interest

Finalez, would I know you at all? I used to go to Andover a few years ago mainly to watch though I trialled my little black bitch a few times. I remember Rob was the starter and the secretary was a lovely lady called Steph though she suffered from ill health and I dont know if shes doing it anymore. I would recognize TC and the Venture lady who makes the dog coats. I know quite forum names as I used to take lots of photos and post them onto K9. Will try and find a link for you to have a looksee.

BLIMEY Sharon, that took some digging out I bet . I can't put a face to you though . Still some of those people you mentioned racing @ Andover, Rob is now secretary and Mark Shearing ( My Hubby ) is Race Manager, Steffi's Hubby Doug is Chairman. we no longer race @ Middle Wallop, the insurance was crippling, as you can see we have tucked ourselves nicely behind the Pub @ Weyhill ( only a few miles the other side of Andover). We have aquireda new field soley for our use next to this one ( and the pub lol ) and will be setting a permenant bend and straight track there asap. You will surely reconise some of the team helping me to make this day a success for Scruples then . Look forward to meeting ( again ) x Oh yeah, my name: Lesley

Heres a video of her at Lure coursing, its not just grass she pulls up either, she was attacking the orange fence, and rugs on the floor marking the line as to where the field began!
